Hi guys,
Sorry if it's the wrong section of the forum but I didn't know where to post.
I have 2 televisions and 2 receivers (Dreambox 500 HD and Vu+ Solo2). My goal is to be able to connect each receiver with both televisios.
Let me first say that when each receiver is connected only to one TV they work flawlessly.
So I went to the shop and bought 2 of these HDMI splitters.

Here is where the problems start.
- The Dreambox receiver sends bad picture quality to both TVs (something like small little glow sparkles, can't really explain it, it also sends no sound!)
- The Solo receiver seems to send good enough (at least not noticeable difference to the naked eye) picture quality to both TVs. However the sound sometimes stops and I have to connect/reconnect the HDMI cable in order to bring back the sound.
Also let me note that I haven't bought very expensive HDMI cables. However, the receivers are very close to the TV's (I have like 2-3 metres HDMI cables, not very long) and I was told that I wouldn't face any problems.
So, the problem probably either is:
1) bad HDMI quality cables (not very likely I think)
2) very cheap HDMI splitters (I think this is the problem, they were the cheapest the shop had)
I read in this thread (http://www.sat-universe.com/showthread.php?t=269481) that I should have bought a splitter that has an AC power supply.
May I ask why is that and do you think that if I buy more expensive HDMI splitters it will fix my problem?
You think if I buy one of these 2 products I will solve my problem?
