Hi, Can anyone help? Had a hardrive crash which stopped hte box booting. I've removed hardrive, plugged it into my windows PC, removed the patition and plugged it back to my box. The sat box has placed a new patition of 1 gig on the drive and will only use this patition. How do I get it to use the rest? The 1 gig is mounted because it is recording on it, but obviously runs out of space really quickly.

Cheers

start your box with any DGS based image in flash ,it will automatically format your hardisk into 1gig sda1 partition for swap and the rest of the drive as sda2 for recording
after that start the pkt and use its mount manager to mount sda2 as HDD

Hi Ipbox9000,

One tool which is worth having for all Linux PVR box users is Paragon Disk Manager. The disk boots up instead of the Windows operating system and enables you to partition and format your disk in linux.ext2 or .ext3. Saves messing about with DGS if you have E2 in flash
