HD Reception on Hotbird Better?

Having only recently set up a multi-lnb dish alongside my standard Sky dish, I have noticed that the picture quality on the football matches on Canal+ HD and on JSC Sports HD is far better than on Sky Sports HD and ITV HD.

Or is it me?

really. while i couldnt get sky sport hd and itv signal, i think they are much better than hotbird channel. if you are right, i should never regret of not getting sky channels.

As I see it, both Sky Sports HD and in particular ITV4 HD (Europa Match tonight) the pictures always seem too much colour and slight blurryiness. (is that spelt right? lol). Where as when I looked at the same match tonight on JSC Sports HD it was as clear as a bell and the pitch looked the proper colour! I know I can alter the colour settings on my TV but that still doesn't change the fact that I found the crispness of the picture on JSC Sports far superior.

I'm running a Skybox F5, if that makes any difference?

To be honest, I haven't had my set up that long to check out all the sports channels. I've only just added all the sports channels to my 'sports' favourites menu! I'll tell you this much, I would definitely sacrifice listening to the irritating co-commentators on our English speaking channels to the far superior picture quality from foreign channels such as JSC and Canal+. As long as I can watch the footy in glorious HD, I couldn't care less what the commentary is saying. :nana:

If you have enigma2 stb, then you can see the video bit rate for any channel, which give you some idea about picture quality.
