Hard drive for vu+ solo

Is it possible to use a usb powerd external hard drive on a Vu+ solo?

Use device manager of your image to set it up.

Do i need to format it in the set up menu, or can i keep the files that i have on it and only attach it to the solo box?

If your using it to record to etc then you need to initilise it and that will wipe it.

wipe your image then plug in ex usb and mount it when new image installed and will record without wiping all your stuff

Can anyone recommend a good external mains powered hdd? I'm struggling to find one for my vu solo. Everything is a portable USB powered one n I know they don't work.
