Could someone do a fresh record about 10 sec of the whole ts for Tandberg v3 feed and upload it somewhere?
Thx

Thx sss146, I did make full search for CSA48 actually twize on different PUSI and not result

This lead me to believe it's CSA64 = no checksum and by this it could be the case that if a CW is found by EMM / Poc then the CW's Byte 4 and 8 should NOT be corrected to Checksum of 1+2+3 and 5+6+7.

I also think it is CSA64. August recordings gave lots of C8s that looked like good one but nothing found.

Forgive me (been away from the hobby long time), but I've never heard of this CSA64. Wouldn't any change in scrambling be flagged in the Scrambling_descriptor somehow?

I'm continuing in my attempts to guess how this EC goes & trial decrypt a sequence of ECMs (much in the spirit of how this thread started with Colibri's hints/challenge).

CSA1 does use a 64 bit CW but have until now been using 48 bit and 16 bit parity this will not affect the CSA algo or the TS itself, it's just the way the CW has been send for decades properly due to some government restriction or some engineer who wanted to be sure to able to validate a CW.

I'm just saying the I have tried all CW in the 48 bit range and no hit

I doubt it's CSA2 or CSA3 since it can run on rx8200 with fw upgrade, on the other hand the rx8200 does accept to have a CAM installed so anything could be possible

Now I am a little bit more smarter !!! Thank you K2TSET !!! :thum:
...and maybe that's the reason why Fox package on 42E still have nanoED, because it's simulcrypted and other encryption systems are using CSA1.
I said that nanoEC is using CSA and not DES, but now I think I will change my mind and maybe they are really using DES for audio/video decryption. Who knows...
