LOS LUNAS, N.M., Dec. 28 (UPI) -- A New Mexico couple said their 9-year-old daughter was shocked to find a Kama Sutra movie in the DVD player they gave her for Christmas.
The Los Lunas parents, who said they wanted to remain anonymous to protect their daughter, said they purchased the player new from Kmart and gave it to their daughter, who plugged the device in on her own, KOAT-TV, Albuquerque, reported Monday.
"She freaked out, came out into the living room and said there's something nasty on the TV," the mother said.
She said the DVD player contained the sexually explicit DVD.
"It is Kmart's fault for having the movie in there. If it was a return, they should've checked the merchandise before putting it back on the shelf," she said.
A manager at the Kmart store said the matter was being investigated.
