July 22, 2014 13.47 Europe/London By Jörn Krieger
The Scottish Premiership will return to German pay-TV sports channel sportdigital after a one-year break from the 2014/15 season.
The Scottish football league will replace the Polish Ekstraklasa for which the TV rights aren’t available in Germany in the forthcoming season, according to the broadcaster.
Kick-off will be on August 13, 2014 with the match between champion Celtic Glasgow and cup winner FC St. Johnstone which sportdigital will show live from 20.45 CET.
The Hamburg-based channel recently also acquired the rights for the Belgian Jupiler League.
