It’s that time of year again – the Times Square Alliance will once again offer free satellite feeds of the New Year’s Eve celebration in Times Square, The clean, uninterrupted feeds are available free of charge to domestic and international television outlets.

Every year as the clock nears midnight on December 31st, the eyes of the world turn once more to the dazzling lights and bustling energy of Times Square. Anticipation runs high. New Year’s Eve at the symbolic center of New York City has become more than just a celebration – it’s a global tradition.

As the famous New Year’s Eve Ball descends from the flagpole atop One Times Square, an estimated one million people in Times Square, millions nationwide and over a billion watching throughout the world are united in bidding a collective farewell to the departing year, and expressing our joy and hope for the year ahead.

This clean, uninterrupted feed will be provided free of charge to media organisations around the world on a non-exclusive basis solely for their use in creating television programming relating to the event. Technical information about the live satellite feed can be found here.

Allison Hagendorf, who recently wrapped hosting the debut season of The CW’s music competition show “The Next: Fame is at Your Doorstep,” will now be hosting the world’s most famous New Year’s Eve celebration seen by more than a billion television viewers across the globe. She will kick off the six-hour celebration at 6 pm EST (local New York time), when she will welcome the nearly one million revelers attending the event in Times Square; and introduce the star of the show, the Times Square Ball.
