Hi,

I have a Fransat SD receiver with its card. I got a Fransat HD card - yes, it has "HD" marked - but the card does not work at all in the SD receiver (for SD channels of course). I thought Fransat cards were interchangeabe.

Could it be the new HD cards have different AES keys? The card works on the HD receiver for all channels. The SD card also works on the HD receiver, but only for SD channeles. I am puzzled why the HD card would not open SD channels on SD receiver... any one knows the reason?

Hello,
Looking for information about Fransat, as mentioned in my thread below.
Is that card working only paired with its receiver? Any chance to use a different box? And what about Common Interface devices? Any detailed information is very appreciated. Thanks.

Looked into getting a fransat card/cam combo a while ago but was told by dealer that it would not work in any tm receiver so obviously did not purchase on advice given. Also told it will work with some other receivers but did not say which as my query was for the technomate range.

the card works in oscam and also in special cam - look for unicam/maxcam/deltacam. It even works in Deltacam Twin (a module for 2 smart cards) - tested it myself few days ago, because nobody could give me this straight answer...

What about the original question?
Why the HD card does not open SD channels on another oficial receiver? It is not the receiver capabilities, as the FTA channels are ok on same transponder.
Also, tested by me, I could put Oscam to read well my SD card. But when tried to use the HD (with specific provider) the image stays black, although I don't have any error messages in the oscam log.

I don't care of comercial issues, buy another cam, etc. This is a hobby and I'm just curious about why it is not working as expected.

whats wierd here is i dont get any audio on the encrypted channels. its fine on the info channel though.

yup, some channels in 5w use this audio format, and if box/cam are not able to decode that you wont's get any sound only video.

What Oscam version works with Fransat card ?

Actually i have a Dreambox 7000, would it be possible to get Fransat card working with that demo ?
