FOX cancels Crime, launches Life in Spain

FOX International Channels (FIC) is launching FOXLife in Spain to replace the currently on-air Fox Crime. The 24-hour network will be available on the main Spanish Pay-TV platforms, reaching 2.6 million subscribers through DTH, cable, IPTV and over-the-top (OTT) services.
The FOXLife launch rounds out FOX International Channels (FIC)'s portfolio in the market, including pay-TV networks via FOX and the suite of National Geographic-branded channels. The new channel will deliver a mix of scripted and unscripted content that mostly targets a female audience.
FOXLife schedules US dramas, comedies and unscripted programming, as well as local content to match the tastes of the local audience. The new programming will include scripted series, such as The Good Wife and Scandal; first-run unscripted programmes, spanning reality, music and other programming; and exclusive local commissions, such as The World's Best Chefs featuring, world-renowned chefs Ferrán Adrià, Michel Guérard, Joan Roca, Massimo Bottura, and José Andrés.
Much of this content will also be available through video-on-demand (VOD) and non-linear services, supported by affiliate platforms and other OTT services in Spain.

Series currently showing on FOX Crime will mainly migrate to FOX. Following this change, FIC's TV offering in Spain will consist of two entertainment brands (FOX and FOXLife), three factual channels (National Geographic Channel, Nat Geo Wild, and the travel channel Viajar), and children's channel, Baby TV – all of which have corresponding HD versions.
