Food Network launches on UPC Ireland

Food Network has reached a carriage agreement with UPC Ireland with distribution beginning on September 6 to all UPC digital subscribers.
“We’re really pleased to add UPC Ireland to Food Network’s growing worldwide distribution,” said Nick Thorogood, managing director of Food Network EMEA, in a statement. “With this launch, the channel is fast becoming the key international destination for lifestyle entertainment.”
Since its international launch in November 2009, Food Network has expanded to over 80 territories throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
“We are delighted to welcome Food Network to the UPC Ireland family,” said Simon Kelehan, head of TV at UPC Ireland. “Food Network is home to so many top rated shows that our customers will just love to watch. The lifestyle channel’s addition further enriches UPC’s program line-up and demonstrates our commitment to continuously provide appealing content to our valued customers.”
