Flashing Linux box using Windows?

Hi, I am very new to Satellite discussions.

I have a Dreambox DM800 HD SE box with Linux installed.

I tried to update the software and shocked myself with the error message "R01 NO CA FOUND" on the Dreambox

I have read from another thread about how to flush it with the "Sunray -Flashup for 800hdse" instruction. The instruction seems to be referring to flashing via Windows software.

I am not familiar with Linux. So, the "Sunray -Flashup for 800hdse" instruction seems to be easy to follow using Windows.

Before I do any flashing I am just wondering whether flashing via Windows will cause more damage to the Linux box since the operating systems are not compatible.

Does anyone has similar experience with this?

Do not worry,
Most of us use windows for flashing our boxes.
Just go ahead and try to fix your box.
If you have any questions, come back and many of us will pass on hteir experience.

Thank you for giving me some confidence, BM300

I have flashed my Dreambox DM800 SE HD with "sim2_800SE_SSL84B.nfi" through Sunray FlashUP. Things seems to process smoothly with no problem.

However, when I connect the Dreambox to the TV screen I now got the error message "Hardware cound not be verified. Please contact Dream Multimedia Support. Code 0x1800f"

I need help :)

Hardware can not be verified is driver related, use another patched image and reflash again.
