Faulty DVB-T tuner?

Hello all.

I've just bought an IPBox 9000 HD with 1 DVB-S2 tuner and 1 DVB-T tuner. I've seen some posts about some hw problems with the DVB-T tuners and I don't know how can I easily check if my tuner is faulty.
Is there any way to verify (visual or by hw revision)?
I don't have the satellite and terrestrial antennas installed yet, that's why I'm asking...

Faulty DVB-C/T tuner:
PCB rev.: Ver A 2007,06,08.
According to the sticker on the tuner: TDMB-G211D 709A1201

Is there any news about this problem (fixed or not)? If it was fixed, tell me pleàse new PCB number for DVB-C/T.

I have the flawed 2007 model also... So I fixed it using the docs from sifteam forum (couple of resistors removed, etc). I cannot say if it's ok now as I cannot really test it - from what I read the problems appear when the user tries to record programs and I have't put a hdd in my box yet.

Mine works now

When I get it, it didn`t work. It didn`t show any errors, but just couldn`t find any channels! Then I opened the box and saw, that there was no connect between L2 L3 and PCB. I pushed gently them down to PCB and inserted module back. After this IT WORKED!
May-be this helps somebody?

Think you're right to mention this. I had nearly the same prob with the same solution.
My dvb-c tuners did find channels though, but not all. Missing channels were only found on second search. In addition, when watching programms, there were picture- and sound dropouts. Thought my tuners were defect.

Phoned Ab-com. They wanted me to photograph the backside of the tuners.
Therefor today i pulled the tuners out of their slots, photographed them and put them back. After that the probs (dropouts) seemed to have gone.
(By the way: My tuners had already been reworked)

hey ararat, i have the same probs with dvbc but only with HD Channels Dropouts sound and picture with reworkt tuners, did ur solution still work? would be cool if u could answer.
