hi chaps i have shortly to be delivered a DM800HD

I was thinking of buying a internal sata drive but havent the money this side of christmas' but i do have a usb external seagate harddrive 320GB which i was wondering if i could use

the other question is if it were connected to the DM800 could i connect to the hard drive through my network because it has lots of pictures that the kids like to look at

If your external drive has personal picture and files id be reluctant to connect it to a 800.

Usb HDD drives can be attached if there in fat32 format if it ntfs im not sure that will work.

Even in fat32 format the drives need a external power supply drives that are powered via USB just can not get enough juice for the 800. Then you'll have fun and games mounting it and recording to it.

Internal drives are much easier.

I don't use Gemini so use at your own risk.

Unrar transfer the IPK to the TMP folder then use the manual addons panel to install it.

Hard your hard drive connected and execute the plugin for the plugins menu.

This file will alter all the paths fpr your hard driver to work. Please note your USB hard drive needs to be powered externally and not by USB.

It is possible to connect pc hard drive to dm800 through nfs or cifs. If its only photos that you want then you could use a usb stick to store them on which could be plugged directly into box or self powered hub.
