This is one of the most popular tournaments of the WTA Tour, attracting many of the top seeds every year. It has a Tier II status and offers total prize money of $600,600. Furthermore, it is one of the few tournaments in the world (apart from Grand Slams) to host both men's and women's Tours. This tournament is steeped in 122 years of history, first played in 1885 it is the fifth oldest tennis tournament in the world.
