ESPN to launch new HD signal in Brazil
The sport channel network, ESPN, has announced programming news for 2013 and has even disclosed the addition to the HD ESPN channel to its catalog. The new signal will broadcast American and International sport content, such as NFL and NBA. The company will have a total of five signals: ESPN, ESPN HD, ESPN Brasil, ESPN Brasil HD and ESPN+ HD.
According to Joao Palomino, ESPN Brazil Journalistic Director, ESPN/ESPN HD will cover American and international competitions, ESPN Brazil/ESPN Brazil HD will offer national content and a complete journalistic coverage of the Brazilian sport universe, while ESPN+ will keep its Premium content channel style.
‘Duetto’ show, to be broadcasted live on Mondays at 8:30 p.m. by ESPN and ESPN HD, is an example of the new content announced by the firm. ‘Duetto’ will be led by Paulo Soares and Antero Greco, current Sportscenter presenters, who will discuss about the main sport events of the weekend.
