Entitlements

Hi everyone,

As a BT Broadband customer I can request BT Sport for free. For this I need a SKY card, so I bought one off Ebay and installed CCCam (2.1.3) then inserted the card. The receiver in question is a DM 500+.

I checked the entitlements to see if the card is working and it says:
card reader /dev/sci0
handled 9797(4208) ecms and 1(0) emms
*** card xxxxxxx

Entitlement info
0119 48-06-2011

I left it on an FTV channel for the last 24 hours, but the entitlements are still as above and it doesn't open any channels. Does that mean the card expired in 2011?
Is there any chance I can get this card working and then get BT Sport added to it?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks
Ksada

The only channel I find that needs the card is channel5 HD. Do you know anyone with a HD receiver because if it is updatable then that would show if its ok or not.

Alternatively ask BT to activate the card to see if it works.

Check if Motors TV , Liverpool TV and Sony Movies , Sony TV are working on your card ??

If not then card will need to go into a Sky box any old sky box infact and left on any of those channels regardless of any on screen messages
untill a pic appears your card is not gonna be paired in any way so you just need entitlements updated this can and might take upto 48hrs in any Sky uk box but most times is less than that .
you can ask BT to activate the card aswell to speed up the proccess but you should get the Freeview channels i mentioned otherwise card still awaits Emm hits for activation ..at the moment its basically a dead card it will take time for it to activate sometimes even days .
hope that helps ,

Hi!

A quick google search for "bt sport on inactive sky card" revealed that BT regard SKY cards with no subscriptions as inactive and will not assign BT Sport to them :(

I don't have an HD box or a SKY box available, but I have left it on Motors TV, Liverpool TV and Sony Movies, Sony TV for 48 hours to no avail, none of them clear. Maybe it just takes longer. Fingers crossed.
