When I copy "extra" folder true Total comander into lib/modules/2.6.18-7.4-dm800/ and restart dreambox nothing happens,drivers stay the same.It will be good if would @rami put drivers in to ipk. file so we can install them true /tmp.Regards...

Tuner driver problem?

I updated openpli to newest today, rebooted box and 2 empty tuners :(

May I use these drivers for fix this problem?

box is a dm800 clone 2.01 76D pached with original OpenPli image.

Latest versions worked all the time, this time is the first that image boot with empty tuners. (If I reflash older image tuner appears again, but I would like to use newest release.)

New bug in patched driver (02.15) for clone box:

New bug in patched driver (02.15) for clone box on dm800:

Can't change polarity in manual frequency scan menu.

So the list is:

1. Not playing recorded movies and any other .ts files. (Error: 'no data on transponder! Timeout reading PAT')

2. No timeshift. Box totally freezes when put pause button.

3. Can't change polarity in manual frequency scan menu.

These are exist also with original driver on openpli 2.0 -0225 (+ empty tuners issue), and exist also with patched driver. Patched driver solved only the empty tuner issue yet.

There is a 02.20 new driver from dmm, maybe when will be a patched version of that, these bugs will disappear.

Point 3. solved, that was an image specific bug. Other 2 is unfortunately depends on driver.
Waiting for fix.

Here are the changes in driver, what is not perfect in patched driver for us with clone boxes.

20110215-r0

dreambox-dvb-modules.bb: update dm800/dm8000/dm500hd/dm800se hardware drivers
all

- add support for two vtuners (this hadn't worked also, but already solved with patched driver)
(These under still don't work with patched driver)
- use linuxtv api dvr devices instead of proprietary pvr device(s) .. this is later needed for better ts streaming support
- small pcr fix
- fixed small demux bug to prevent packets from previous running service in recorded ts streams

dm800se/dm500hd:
- updated audio/video decoder, video output, demux and hdmi output code

dm8000:
- updated video decoder, video output, demux and hdmi output code
take care this driver update needs at least 2nd stage loader #81

Please, someone could fix it, or make a usable #81 SSL for clones to get the playback function back.
Sure these are the problems why the playback not working with new images.

I bet it's time for them chinese to make a new sim for clone boxes heh sim3 and ferrari2 ;)
Then they can start making some money again.
Come on, if they can patch drivers and bootloaders to work with a certain sim, then everything is possible.
I asked mfarahj en ramimaher to crack the latest drivers so they work with bl69/70/72 (sim1) and I didn't got a response.
They only care for sim2, and guess wath happens when a new sim arrives ?:p
Money needs to flow hehe
