Me too... anyone got the software? I was told it's called "shihab" but for the life of me i can't find it anywhere on the net

Anyone know how to get these "codes" onto the receiver? I've got my receiver connected to my pc via serial port.... but I don't know what to do now? I'm using Nilesat.

for updating drama reciever u'll copy new software in flash 7put the flash in usb port in front of the reciever then u got menu from remote & select upgrade by usb& select upgrade file(u cn get file u'll store in flash )u cn select main code by pressing vol butten if u select main code press ok it will be start updating

Please tell me where you got the software from . From what website are you receiving the files? I need this because my satellite guy charges me a lot of money to give me the files on flash drive. I dont want to pay him anymore. I want to get the files myself.

Please tell me from what website you are getting

Thanks for everything guys....is it normal that OSN Cinema 1/2/3, Fox Sports, and a few others don't work? I would really like them to work. :)

Same for me. I don't see OSN Cinema 1/2/3, Fox Sports, Extreme Sports, BET, Discovery Channel, Discovery ID, CNBC. Any idea what's going on? They don't even give a message that the channel is scrambled like Fox News, History Channel. They just have a black screen.

I'm only having problems with a few channels on Nilesat (I only use Nilesat) using the 19-02-2010 update. But I didn't get it from here, my satellite guy installed it himself so he may have a different version? I'm not sure. Anyway heres the problem channels:

  1. Series Channel: Scrambled
  2. History Channel: Scrambled
  3. Fox News: Black screen always, no scrambled message
  4. OSN Cinema 1: Black screen today but was working before
  5. OSN Cinema 2: Black screen today but was working before
  6. OSN Cinema 3: Black screen today but was working before
Another problem I have that maybe someone here knows is about the EPG (Electronic Programming Guide). OSN broadcasts the EPG in two languages English and Arabic. Currently I see Arabic only on all the OSN Channels. I would rather have English but I cannot find a setting for this specifically. I set everything in the languages setting to English and it still shows Arabic on the EPG for OSN channels. Any advice?

Well, my satellite guy took whatever he came with with him. I don't see a way to get the maincode onto a flash drive through the receiver's menus or else I would upload it. Maybe there is a way you know of?
