How to determine what SIM version my box has?

Best way is to take the lid off and look. sim2 boxes sometimes have a gold sim2 sticker underneath.

I open the box and took out the SIM card. It says 'SIM201' on it.
What is the newest Openpli image and can flash and what secondstage loader do i need?

Is the flashing process the same as for original boxes?

1. Bring box into flashing mode
2. Flash SSL via web interface
3. Push button for reboot and bring it right into flash mode again upon reboot
4. Flash image
5. Reboot and let it come up?
6. Done

..or is the process different?

Presume by the way that online update via these images is are a no go?

There is no blackhole image mate for dreamboxes there is openblackhole but that is still oe1.6
