It is. Functionality depends on used devices.
(You didn´t write what device you want to use to stream onto your dreambox with.)

The following counts for original Dreamboxes, not for clones:

Streaming from dreambox to dreambox
(very easy solution already built by default in e.g. in Merlin 3 OE2 Firmware, but available for other OE2.0 firmware, too is the "Partnerbox Plugin". You enter IP address of streaming box into this plugin (on your receiving box) and then you can see live tv from your second box or can set remote timers.

NAS/server
You can, of course, stream mediafiles (movies, music, pictures) from harddrives in a NAS/server, if you first create a user with access rights on folders in this NAS/server and afterwards create NFS (or CIFS) permissions for this user in your dreambox.
You may as well stream from you pc, your MAC in a comparable way.
You will have to read on NFS/CIFS permissions - I can´t explain in a few sentences.

Phones
You may as well stream videos, etc. from a smartphone (don´t ask me how - I haven´t got one and not needing one, I don´t want one - got cell phone, only).
I just looked up on Youtube - there´s a howto video in german language for iOS/Android devices

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gdza5rfBprw"]Folge 30 - AirPlayer (iOS/Android Streaming) - YouTube[/ame]

As you can see/hear, the video is all german, but maybe from the pictures alone you get an impression, how to do it

For MAC the guy in the video says:
Airplay mirroring and Radio audio streaming doesn´t work, but streaming of videos, music works. You need to google for Airplayer Enigma2 . When you find the plugin, you need mipsel packet. You copy it to temp on your dreambox and install the plugin with terminal (telnet - e.g. DCC e2 or Putty - for Windows users .). After restart of your box you´ll find the plugin under "Addons" (or "Extensions") in Dreambox MENU. Then you can set it to your own needs/preferences, etc..
(Would get a bit too much, to explain all and maybe even useless, if you dont want to use a smartphone with your dreambox;).)

Streaming is something that needs reading or at least watching some explanatory videos on Youtube, if you want to get it running.
Only Partnerbox Plugin for connection between dreamboxes, is a s easy as just knowing the IP addresses of your dreamboxes and entering them into the plugin´s setup.
------

Streaming from your dreambox onto other devices may be easier, especially if the other devices (tv-set, blurayplayer, pc, etc.) have DLNA functionality. Then you just install the DLNA plugin onto your dreambox, enter your own settings in the plugin´s setup and you´re done. Your tv (with wired/wireless network, DLNA and mediaplayer built in) will find the videos on your dreambox and hopefully (depends on the tv set´s abilities) play them back.
(My DLNA home devices do ;))

dm8000hd web tv youtube movie

Ararat, many many thanks for your interesting answer although my question was not complete and correct, I really appreciated your detailed information and I will keep them in mind.:thum:
I’m just an “entry level” user, and, as a first step, I would like to stream on the web by my DM8000HD through its REMOTE CONTROL only.
For example connecting with google, looking at some internet TV channel, looking some internet movie and youtube.
Is this possible having just wired internet connection with DM8000HD or do I need any additional device and firmware/setting?

Sorry, I missed your question and forgot to answer:mecry:.

stream on the web by my DM8000HD through its REMOTE CONTROL only

connecting with google, looking at some internet TV channel, looking some internet movie and youtube
Remark: If you connect with, Google, look at some internet TV channel, watch some internet movies, etc., you are not streaming On the web By your DM8000HD, but you are streaming From the web Onto your dreambox.
I guess, this is what you meant. I hope so;) - otherwise my answer is wrong.
(Sorry, if I sounded like a teacher - I didn´t mean it that way.;))

There are many ways to achieve this functionality. I can´t explain and don´t know them all, there are lots of plugins for this purpose and maybe some functions already built in into your dreamboxes firmware (depending on which firmware you are using).
-------

If you are using original OE2.0 firmware (CVS) then by default you have got a webbrowser and HbbTV built in. (On e.g. Merlin 3 or other OE2.0 firmware you can install these as seperate plugins - the webbrowser plugin must be installed first, the HbbTV plugin afterwards).
Webbrowser and HbbTV don´t perform too well (but well enough, if urgently needed) on dreambox 8000 HD, though and run better on Dreambox7020HD.

There are different additional plugins for Internet TV, Google, etc. (E.g. Mediaportal, Multi-Mediathek, etc.) but I´m not using any of them (neither webbrowser, nor HbbTV, nor Mediaportal, nor ...) because I just don´t know, when to watch all the stuff.
(More than 40 HDTV satellite channels already, that I even rarely watch anything on SDTV channels anymore.).

PCs perform much better on the internet than the DM8000HD does.
Youtube´s Full-HD 1080p videos (If I don´t use my pc) run better with my both "Smart TV´s" built in functions. That´s why I don´t use my dreambox for internet/streaming at all.
In short: There are lots of ways to get what you want, but sorry:mecry: I´m the wrong person to explain.

EDIT: At least I just found out, how you could easily add Internet TV stations to your dreambox.
If you know the URL of a wanted IPTV station, you can simply add it to one of your "bouquets" and then watch it on your dreambox like any other channel (DVB-S/DVB-C/DVB-T).

HowTo:
There are tools to find hidden URLs on websites (e.g. For free: "URL Snooper", Pay version - don´t know the price "URL Helper" - maybe there are more tools like these)
Install one of these on your pc.

Open a website on your pc, that offers Internet TV live streams to watch. Play your wanted TV station and let the installed URL tool find the URL of the station. Mark this URL in your URL tool and copy it to (Windows) clipboard.

Open "Dreambox Edit" (free editor for dreambox channel lists).
Let "Dreambox Edit" load down the channel list of your dreambox.
Add a new empty bouquet - e.g. called IPTV - or use one of your existing bouquets for next step.
In "Dreambox Edit`s" right bouquets window, highlight/select the wanted bouquet.
Right click with your mouse onto the empty space in the little window left to the bouquets window (the one which usually is showing the contained channels of your selected bouquet). Select from the opened Menu (you opened it with right mouse click) - an entry somewhat called like "Add IPTV or else streaming channel" or similar.
This opens a window where you can give your channel a name and where you can paste the URL from clipboard.
When you´re done, you may repeat with more channels.
At last let "Dreambox Edit" upload the changed channel list onto your dreambox. Now on your dreambox you will find your new bouquet "IPTV" with all channels inside, which you can play like any other channel with your remote control.

Now you know - webbrowser, HbbTV, IPTV no problem with OE2.0 firmware (At least IPTV should work on OE1.6 firmwares as well, I guess)

EDIT 2:
You may find URL lists for tv channels on the internet (google e.g. for "IPTV URL listings". So perhaps you may not need a URL tool at all.:)
