Ok lets go back to real topic.
After spending all day yesterday and today I can say that in the end my usb no matter what image I tried; playback freezing I came to conclusion usb pen no good.
I got my 3.5 ext hdd but funnily enough could not record on it with nemesis
Kept getting errors although disk was recognized in system
Trying it out now with dreamlite.......

Hi mate, can I know which pli version you are using now ? I'm using OpenPLi-2.1-beta-dm800-20110923 without install any additional plug-in and I'm using your mod version of army skin... can u guide me how to make it boot faster ? thanks in advanced !!!:thum:
I use latest Pli from gjstroom and have done nothing to it only installed army skin and some plugins, and updated every week from Pli, i use usb stick for timeshift,picons and epg, hdd cif mount from my 800, i never checked the time before so when you write i had to check

I'm not using the latest one yet bcos I thought the SSL84 version will available around mid of Oct so lazy to flash again seems like still need to wait a bit longer....And when did you last update online? You have clone, right?
I am afraid to use online update these days, since I have seen this line in changelog:

i update 3 days ago (october 18 Enigma), no problem only som warning about unstable, but i tried now and got this
1.Unnatended upgrade without gui and reboot system
2.upgrade and ask to reboot
3.abort
and it was 30 package in the update, so maby i try later to se what happens

Dm800 Sim2.xx OpenPLi Online Update:
As OpenPLi has updated to Sept drivers & SSL 84 you need to convince opkg that SSL 84 has already been installed or it will upgrade to the non-clone-friendly SSL84 (No CA).
Edit the /usr/lib/opkg/status file to trick OpenPLi to think the latest SSL is already installed...
Find the section that looks like:
... or you can just let the online update install the new drivers & ftp the required single patched tuner driver into place @ /lib/modules/2.6.18-7.4-dm800/extra/bcm7401.ko after the update...
Worked fine for me & thanks gj for pointing out the edit...
EDIT: Just ran online update again w/ no problems...

If you already have the patched 20110902 drivers installed, you may do the same edit for the drivers, make it read as:

just tried that still freezing external 3.5 disk working like a treat no freezing whatsoever.....
