DM500S Default Language Problem

Hi everyone,

Recently I bought a Dreambox DM500S clone and got it installed with Darkstar2. I am currently using Sky Italia services and been trying to sort a problem which till now I haven't managed. My problem is that most of the stations in the Sky Italia pack comes with a default Italian language (which I totally understand ). It is a bit annoying changing every station language to English so what I would like to know is if there is some kind of work around that sets English as the main language for every channel giving it provides the language option. I tried downloading a Language plugin from the receiver itself but it doesn't seem to be working. Any help would be greatly appreciated

You can set English as the default by doing this

Go to the web interface (e.g. http://192.xxx.xxx.xxx), and select config, settings and in the Audio Channel Priority enter this

english#audio 2#dos#Tonoption 2#englisch#haa#qaa#org#ORY

Priority will be set to English when available, no need to select it

Just to double check ...... is it suppose to be like this :

or the last englisch has to be english ?

I thank you for your time Ferret. Just one last question please ..... you know that most of the channels doesnt come with the English selection in the audio menu but with Undetermined which still is english. Will it still work on them ?

Unfortunately not mate!

What you have to do for those ones is select the English audio track on them all then do a soft reboot for it to remember the setting.

Menu-option5-reboot now.
