DM500s: copy all setting from onr DM500 to another DM500

Hi Everyone,

One DM500 is working perfectly. Now bought another one & another account too. I want to copy everything from first box to second box including channel list, bouquets, server info etc. Then I want to change/edit just rqcamd.conf file for new username/password.

What is the best way to clone another one & then edit rqcamd.conf file.

Pl. help me step by step for newbie.

You can use DreamSet for copying your channel and satellite lists.
This list can be modified and sent back as many times as you like to any box.

Best option:
Use FlashWizard for making a backup of your exeisting image.
You will need a Hard drive connected to your network.
Then simply resend this backup using FlashWizard to your new box.
You will then have an identical settings on both boxes.

Another choice:
For your settings you need to have an extrnal hard drive system (a laptop or computer connected to the netwrk).
You can then go to file or sofware management and do a settings backup.
It will save a copy of your existing setup including channel list on whatever path you have assigned.

Done successfully.

Used Dreamup to backup image.
Then used same image as restore for other box.
Did not copied all settings.
Used DCC > ftp > copied /var folder from first box to computer & then computer to 2nd box.
Also changed rqcamd.conf.
Everything working.
