dm500 problem

a mate has a had a dm500 and wants it updated to receive the 'extra stuff'.
at the moment it has gemini 4.7 and he had the extra addons installed as it can download from vaious sites.
i can download various cams to it but for some reason wahen i do a IP test on it, the IP and NETMASK stay Red but the NAMESERVER and GATEWAY change to Green.
and when i try to use DCC i get

Telnet Connected
FTP Connected
Model DM500 detected.

Bootmanager: not found.

any ideas?

go to network and tick use DHCP save and reboot then go back and see is the ip as changed
netmask = 255.255.255.0
gateway 192.168.1.1or it could be 192.168.0.1

i'm seting it up at mine,
IP 192.168.1.3
Netmask 255.255.255.0
Nameserver 192.168.1.1
Gateway 192.168.1.1

have ticked the DHCP and restarted, still the same

I would flash Commando image to the 500s although predominately used for 28.2° east it can be easily modified to work with a Multi-sat setup and has most needs built into the image apart from the cams

its to be used on 28e.
so instead of messing about, best to reflash it?

Deffo if its for 28.2° east only then Commando is by far the best image Picons,EPG all built in just add your Cam

Latest version is 15.1d i dont use dreamup i use Null modem with dreamup 1339

I doubt youll have enough flash space for picons though.
