dm 8000 and vlc

Hello to everybody.
I have a dm 8000 and i want to stream movies from my pc(vista)
to dreambox.On my pc i have vlc 0.8.6c.I hope you can help me
with the needed settings to both pc and dreambox.My image is the
latest Nabilo Blackhole and the latest Newnigma to my other receiver dm 800.I would appreciate your help.

On the DM8000 you dont need VLC. Just mount and play the files!
For mounting a folder from your pc to dreambox Look at Menu -> setup -> system -> network -> Browse network in your dreambox.
Be shure you have shared youre folder on your pc (Right mouse click and "Share")

For the DM800 you need to start vlc in http mode on your pc, wich can be done by adding this line to the path in shourtcut. (Press right mouse button on VLC icon on desktop, choose properties and paste this after the .exe under "Path")
--intf http
Remember to have a space between .exe and --intf http
It should now look something like this:

C:\Programfiles\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe --intf http

Now move this Icon to start-> startup so it starts VLC player ever time you turn on youre pc. This way you VLC will just run in the background!
Now you should be able to access youre pc and wach movies from your pc!
