I hope some of you experts can help me out with the following.

I just bought as advertised, DM 800 HD PVR-PRO.

Printed on the front is, DM 800 HD PVR, with stickers on the bottom, MODEL: DM 800PVR-S and Inside SIM 2.01.

I opened the box to check inside and found sticker on SIM 210 also sticker on Tuner BSBE2-801A.
The Mobo had no Rev number.

I contacted the supplier and questioned the description and was told, it was the same as PRO, as its the Tuner which makes the difference.

Is his explanation correct? or am I being fobbed off.

Thanks in advance.

I forget all the tuner model number but take a look at the tuner does it say RevM on it those were fitted to the PRO.

Dose the sim sate it 2.10 or 2.01 it can be both on the pro also.

There is no REVM visible anywhere.

The SIM sticker is printed with, DM800 11303, SIM210.

Look on the curcuit board of the tuner around the edge the model number will be there you may need to remove the tuner to see it.

The only visible letters and numbers on the Tuner circuit board, refer to, resistor, diodes capacitors etc.

Should I remove the Tuner to look underneath?

I have never had one of these stb's before.

The Tuner unit/circuit board cannot slide forward as it is attached (socket and pins) to a side circuit board, which in turn is hard connected to the mainboard,

It looks like, the rear panel will have to be removed to allow sideways disconnection.

Would this be correct or is there another method?

Done, rear panel removed.

The following is printed on the underside of Tuner circuit board.

Strange this seller has revised his latest listing, (200675945872) it was described as PRO version, same as his earlier listing, (200672634471)

IT is now described as PVR, but still includes the, ALPS BSBE2-801A. Tuner.

He has also sold the above Tuners separately (200669845507)
