Discovery and Unitymedia KabelBW cooperate

Discovery Networks Deutschland and cable operator Unitymedia KabelBW are expanding their cooperation.
The new deal includes expanded distribution of Discovery’s free-to-air channel D-Max as well as making Discovery content available as VOD.
D-Max is now available as a 24/7 channel in 340,000 homes in Hesse. Until now, the channel was sharing capacity.
From January onwards D-Max HD will become available on the Unitymedia networks in North-Rhine Westphalia and Hesse, while Kabel BW will follow during the first quarter of 2013.
Selected Discovery and D-Max programming will also be made available on the cabler’s VOD portal.
