DIRECTV to exclusively air Real Madrid-Atletico Madrid Copa del Rey match-up

On 17 May, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid will face off in the Spanish football league's Copa del Rey. The game, a derbi madrileño, will be shown exclusively in Latin America on DIRECTV Sports in standard digital, HD and via live streaming on directvsports.net.
DIRECTV Sports also announced that it will exclusively broadcast the semi-finals and finals of the Coupe de France 2013 and Portugal Cup 2013, live. This is coupled with the exclusive live broadcast of several rounds of the German Cup 2013.
"With this exclusive broadcast, DIRECTV Sports has established itself as the home of European football," the company said. "DIRECTV customers will be able to complete all the excitement of the experience with the online broadcast the final of the Copa del Rey in directvsports.net and the coverage provided from DIRECTV Sports Portal."
The Copa del Rey will be played at the Real's Santiago Bernabeu stadium in the Spanish capital of Madrid. Real Madrid will try to recover after being eliminated in the semi-finals of the Champions League, and conceding the championship title in La Liga to FC Barcelona after a draw between the two. Atletico Madrid is No 3 in La Liga behind Barca and Real.
