Just got my 500hd today, switched it on and it was as dead as a dodo, no lights on front only red light showing when looking through casing near fan, it' now on it's way back to supplier.

Bought from uk dealer for £299(think he gets them off another uk main dealer) this was the email reply i got yesterday.

It will be wed. After we find a problem with yours we checked the stock we had and we had same more so we sent them all back and the stock will be with us tomoz and one is been sent out to you from my supplier. I hope you understand that i don’t went to sent another faulty one out to you.

so not even one single with problem but many in the stock, lol, not the best news for the potential customers of dm500hd I guess.

I recieve today my new 500HD and when trying to setup, everything gone black!!!
The box in Dead!!!!

Is that happen to other people also?

Haven't got my box back yet, they are a disgrace, they recieved it at 11:29 on saturday 6/3/10.:mad:

dead box

i only asking to the supplier if said some box faulty why nobody
checking before selling to the cstumer...for my own opinion..

My 500HD failed yesterday, bought it three weeks ago.
When I came home the box had stopped with a frozen picture, after a restart with the power switch I never got it running again.
I have tried to change AC-adapter, no go.
Tryed to connect through mini-USB with Dreamup, no go.
Only thing showing any signs of life is four leds inside the box right beside the dead fan and that my PC actually finds a Virtual Comport when connecting to the dreambox.

pulling the plug of the power wait 30 seconds, run Dreamup push conect and now turn on your receiver wait for message in dreamup after erase flash when finish flash your 500hd

Same problem here. Got a brand new 500HD. First powerup was ok. Then rebootet ok. After this could not power it up anymore. Totally dead.

too sad to hear about these problems..

i am getting worried about mine..
i installed newnigma2 on it, and touch wood, it's been working great for the last 4 days...

i wish you all the best guys..
