The DM8000 will be offered in both black and silver. The Gross recommended retail price will be some ? 799. Dimensions (Width x Hight x Depth): 430 x 80 x 270 millimeter. The Linux-HDTV-Box will be reveiled at the ANGA Cable. Dream invites all interested people, who want to see the future today, to visit them at stand 16J.

I just realized that the press ad above was made in 2006, doesn anybody have more news about when will this dream machine be in stores?

Lünen - The provider of Linux-based set-top boxes, at the IFA in Berlin, his new box DM8000 PVR HD DVD ".

The device can be specified by the manufacturer to a complete home server and thus over a LAN or wireless TV, DVD, PC and recording functions. Dream Multimedia promises "fast switching times" and a "comfortable operability". New is the possibility, "a DVD player or recorder installed in the DM8000. The new Dreambox could be commercially available via SATA hard drives with the PVR (personal video recorders) to be extended.

For Timeshift and parallel television and recording two different programs, two DVB-S2 tuner. In addition, according to Dream Multimedia also two more einbaut tuner. The set-top box also have four subjects slot for CI modules as well as two smart card reader.



The device was with three USB ports, one slot pocket for Compact Flash and Secure Digital cards and an optical and coaxial digital sound output. About a DVI interface will be the digital image to the TV.

The DM8000 PVR HD DVD "is scheduled to start at the end of September 2008 for 899 euros (EIA) with no hard drive and DVD in trade. Dream Multimedia is at the IFA in Hall 26 at Booth 105 to find.

hi all

they said that about 2 1/2 years ago.
i sold my dm7000.
then waited waited..........................

then i feb bought 9000hd from abcom.
dm have a very very poor reputation when it comes to release dates.
