Hi.

I can't run CSA-Rainbow-table Tool V1.23 on my laptop.
It is HP Compaq 8710p with Nvidea Quadro NVS 320M running Win XP Pro.

I updated to the newest Nvidea driver supporting NVS 320M on Win XP. It is 307.83 from March 7, 2013
But got this message when I try to run CSA-Rainbow-table Tool V1.23:

'CUDA Driver Version: 5.0 - Runtime Version: 0.0
Number of CUDA Devices: 0'

Any suggestion?

Or can you please tell my what is the lowest version of CUDA you are using with CSA-Rainbow-table Tool?

Regards Carsten.

YOU 1st check the Cuda is available on you graphics card as far as i have searched for your card i didn't find that it has Cuda cores. i thnk it is 256 MB graphics card you are having.

And if you are sure your card supports cuda you should 1st start Nvidia application and then try to run that CSA tool.

it should work......

Hi.

I installed CUDA 6.5 from Dahaka's link. And Cuda is working on Win XP Pro (32bit)

CSA Rainbow-Table-Tools V1.23 show a Device: Quadro NVS 320M (32 Cores)

During Installation of 6.5 it let me extract files to a temporary disk. Size was 1.32 GB.

During installation it installed Graphics Driver 340.62
340.62 is not supported by 320M. But as a never play games I may be never find out what function that are missing.

After Installation I got 2 Nvidea Directories in \Programs

752MB in Programes\NVIDIA GPU Computing Toolkit

And 2 GB in Programes\NVIDIA Corporation
Which have 1.75 GB in \Visual Studio Interface?

Do any know of a way to remove this 1.75 GB for user not using Visual Studio?

I read for a couple of years ago about a user having the RBT table on a USB 2.0 harddrive.
If I remember right took it around 30 min to search a CW.
Can that be on CSA Rainbow-Table-Tools v2?

For now it has be using more than one hour to search for a CW.
Or can I be doing something wrong?
I just Copied/Paste a crypt8 from this forum.

Do any know how long it will take to seach for CW in a USB 2.0 harddrive with CSA Rainbow-Table-Tools V1.

But now when it is working, will I in the near future upgrade my internal harddrive to a larger one so I can have the RBT table internally.

Regards Carsten.

Hi Carsten,
in the past I had a similar setup (GT9500M with 32 cores, USB2.0 HDD, 120GB rbt, CSA v1). It took several hours to search a cw, so I started before going to bed and when I woke up the result was there.
So in case the driver is the right one just be patient.

Just Go to Control Panel Your OS & Uninstall 1.75GB Visual Studio Only .If Program No problem Check & install It manually Again
press by Customize Installation Nvidia Setup Option .

Having your tables on a USB drive will always mean it takes longer to find the key.
With V1 it will be very slow, probably more than an hour but does depend on size of table.

With V2 it is slower than SSD & normal HD but still quite quick. Perhaps a few minutes or less.

I think the more CUDA = Find the fastest result
What is the number cuda cores
We need to speed up the searching...
or What is the best graphics card in CSA

I believe the best card for V1 is GTX 580.
That only has 512 cores.

Is any other card faster for V1?

For V2, I believe 980 Ti is the best.

I also have two GTX 660's and they are much slower than the 580 for V1.
So, newest card is not always fastest.

It's not working because he has already an integrated GPU since it's laptop, and the windows will recognize first that one and not the Nvidia.
And what's the point on laptop? You will need 30 minutes to get a CW lolz

Hi.

Some nonpayment SAT TV Channels only change CW once a month or may be once a Year. Including the one I am interested in.
The first part with a 198 GB RBT ( Table1 ) takes around 90 minutes on my laptop and a USB 2.0 harddrive.
I don't know how long the second stage will take?

But I have some other questions for you.

For the moment I only downloaded the B8hx00h tables.
How important is the B8hxFFh tables. How offen and what are they used for?

And are the chains only for SD or can they also be used on HD TV channels.

Regards Carsten.
