Cuberevo and Virgin Media Cable Service

Can anyone please tell me if I can use my Cubrevo HD twinTuner on my to be installed virgin media cable service??

I know I need to replace the DVB-S to DVB-C cards but other than that what else??

And is there any firmware out for virgin media ??

Simple answer is no, there is a good chance your new installed Cable box will be Nag3, or if not , it will be soon. That means no free TV on Virgin boxes.

You could go down the c/s route, i have read that peeps are getting round it that way, but to be honest its not worth it as the IPbox is very unstable with c/s.

When you say Nag3 do you mean free to air tv??

Nag3 = Virgin Encryption protocol for their services.

i am using nlb image in flash,pkt 0.9.2 E2 image on usb. using s2 tuner and dvbc tuner. cable channels working fine using mgcamd35 depending on area u are in,maybe nagra 3 already.

What I may do is sell the Cuberevo and get this Starview HD Combo.

Has anyone used this box or can you recommend any other box's??

There is no point getting any receiver with a dvb-c tuner. Within weeks all of UK will be nagra 3.

If you are looking for a twin tuner for sat tv then I can recommend the VU+Duo.

If you are in a small-world area of the uk then you will have no N3 as small world cable has no plans of going N3 at this time

hi keith,have you had any problems with epg and cable since they changed frequencies last week?i tried a few images and all the same,strugging getting any now/next in info bar and main menu,its like its very delayed

I had to do a force scan with a cable.xml file I have here, lots of BBC channels now that don't clear and like you say a few probs with epg. Don't think there is much we can do about it.

i had to scan every req seperate as the tuner desnt like to do an automatic scan,always error like u mentioned while back in a post. strange though as the dbox,dm500c all scan perfect and epg works fine and comes straight in,

hey guys, mine also died about a week ago, I did a rescan and it has found anything but all encrypted no longer visible. What did they do?
