codec for mpeg4 for dreambox

MPEG4 does work on DM8000.

Well there is no mpeg4 decoder on the standard dreambox image, as I see no ffmpeg installed.
I guess you mean to say it works on your Blackhole box ?

MPEG4 decoding is in the hardware, for Christ sake it is a HD receiver!

I was refering MPEG-4 part 2, as used by DivX, Xvid etc.
And was refering such file placed on the disk appears not play on the DM8000 due to lack of codec. (same for Blackhole v0.12)
