CME eyes Polish return

CME is looking for a way back into the Polish market, where it was last present back in the 1990s through a stake in the national commercial broadcaster TVN.
Gazeta Prawna reports that CME is one of two parties – the other being Platforma Mediowa Point Group – to have lodged bids for a stake in the regional broadcaster TV Puls.
TV Puls was backed by Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp up to late last year and is currently owned by the Franciscan Brothers and Dariusz Dabski.
CME, which itself recently secured Time Warner as an investor, operates commercial TV stations in seven CEE countries.
