dead Dm 500 C

well i load the Gemini 4.3.1 on my dreambox 500c it work the night and the next morning but now the red light or green light will not come on and box will not power up how ever the unit is still warm as i left it connected to the power supply. will the image kill box the same time or will it take some time to damage dm 500c

Hi, i Jtag the 500c, and load alps boot into my box, After that, its on, and now I can load new images with dreamup. Everythinig seems to be OK, I can reach the box through network, but I can't load new channel list, and I get a message like "Service not avaible" in every channel....
I think the bootloader there's over there is for 500S not for 500C...

have you tried to play a cable setings per ftp(DCC..or box editors)to your box

of course, but The box doesn't recognize them. If you download from the box the cjannel list, it seems to be ok, but when you try to see the bouquets, there's nothing ....
You can see providers, but no signal...

I dont know how is it with a cable box but,i think you tried a manual search to.

I almost made it, but i am stuck DreamFlash.

I try to upload alps and philips bootloader but no one worked. What this error mean "Could not open flash.bin"

Tht's new for me... I've flashed 5 DM500c, and I haven't found this error....
Which model do you have ??

U missing blimg in jtagwin5xxx folder.
Rename your img to blimg

1. choose the MAC address you want, then open the init file,you can edit the "ifconfig eth0 hw 00:12:25:14:1B:24",
change the "00:12:25:14:1B:24" with your address, then save it.

2. Use DCC OR FTP to connect the DM500s£¬Go into the folder of /var/etc, put init file to /var/etc

3.reboot box, use remote control to choose MENU---setup---blue panel--system info---user script----ifconfig start,
see the HWaddr: your MAC ADDRESS

you have to rename dm500_alps_boot_00_00_00_00_00_00.bin file
in to blimg and put/replace blimg file in Jtag_DM500 folder

It was my mistake. I renamed file blimg into blimg.bin. The correct name is blimg. Now it works.

I did according to this method too, but has not succeeded!
the bootloader can write in flash through JTAG interface ,but DM500S can't work yet..

How to use dm500mac_generator tool ??
Does it make a new bootloader file then write the bootloader file to DM500S ??

To do the bin file ,open dm500_mac, enter the new MAC address, chose your tuner Alps or Philips and click generate,save the file. :confused:Now my problem is how to send the bin file to dreambox with JTAG interface CAS3 or jtag_ windows program? My dreambox is working I just want to change the MAC address.
