why go for a dm 7020 clone , I have a genue 7020 if I was to get a new box ,I would check ipbox eg the 9000hd and get a mutch better reciever for almost the same price

You mean a 900 HD from Abcom, because it's really cheap, with HD.

The 7020 is the last Box with Enigma 1, I have a 7025 and it was a crappy Box until I flashed alternative Images.

I can't say that I am happy because I really don't use it and I have bought it before they introduced the 7025 + for the same price.

The only advantage of a DB is that you can make Cardsharing pretty easily with Cccam and the IP Box doesn't support it yet.

But I think that in the future we will have a pretty good Enigma 2 Image on it and Cccam will support it natively.

Hi all

I think I'm clear on how to do the Jtag but my problem is how do I build the cable to connect from the PC to the DM500s.

I can see in the pictures I need the "DB25 male connector" from the I get the cables to connect the DM500s to the 16 pins.

My questions is where do I get the "DB25 male connector" from, can I just get a printer cable and break it to make or do they sell loose connectors?

Same with the cables that connect from the adapter to the DM500s, looking at a previous post they have a little "adaoter" but searched in a couple of website and could not find them, what is the exact name for them?

Does anyone know if in the UK places Maplin they sell them? if I go to the shop can I just buy them with that name or do they have another name?

If anyone have any links to buy in UK and/or Ireland please PM me the links or if anyone has a spare build I could buy from you.

Another question, you know when the box is down, does any light come on at all when is plugged in,when I look at mine NO lights at all are on.

hi! have received a similar problem with the receiver. assembled JTAG cable resistors and began to try to restore Dreambox500, used the program 2alps.bat. That's what happened:
the flash .. well it come up Dreambox Dm500 board initialize
Flash info. : INTEL Unknown
[dm500] reading CA:ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff
[CA] Ho Ho! CloneWARS corrupted bootloader eh?! consider getting a IPBOX!

when i try to flash with dreamup,
dreamup see my dreambox 500C,but stops doing something in dreamup.
what can i do to flash my box,
network is also dead,
so the only thing i can do is through nullmodem cable and dreamup.
or do you have some tip for me to do.

Try flash this image which will erase all the flash! Note this is just to clear flash flash will then be blank. Small file but will be the regular size when unrared.

After this flash with your chosen image.

i have found out that i buy a cloon box,and on the site it says it is a original box.
with the original box in mind i din't think about the cloonbom that is in the latest image's.
i think i just need to get someone to found in my area that can help with the bootloader to set it on again and than put a image on that have no cloonbomb on it.
that is why dreamup see the box but don't get further to flash it i think.
because hé see no bootloader,hé stops with the dreamup flash option.
with this in mind,do someone can tell what i do best.
network don't work also,so i don't can flash it.
hope it can be fixt so it works again.

Which files did you use mate?

Where they files from here SU, to be honest ive never come across jtag files for a C version so you maybe right.

Maybe a member will have these for you.
