Good morning all,

I'm trying to capture local channels on my IP Box using my
subscription smart card in the CI slot.

I see that on the systems menu of the 9000 HD there are two CI slots but both are 'not installed'. Could someone advise on how to install these?

In fact I can find most of the channels on my cable but cannot access all ( except a few eg the HD promo).Other have ben able to
get their smart cards working on new LCD TVs (with CAM inputs) using Seca 1/2 encryption.

Any help appreciated

Thank you Bacardi,

I use the latest sifteam, and I have downloaded the cam modules.
I'm trying to find out if this will work with my authorised subscription card in the CI slot
- but concerned that in the systems menu it says that CI modules are not installed.

Which keys will I need to install?

Activate card in CI slot

Thank you both,

As this is all new to me, is this correct:

By starting newcs this is all that's needed to activate my
card ( mediaguard seca 2).
In fact the sifteam download gives these options:
mgcamd-1.30d.
mgcamd-1.30d-newcs-1.61.

Do I need to choose between the two or do I need both.

Much appreciated

Appreciated all,

Strange that my local (B)cable scan picks up about 5 new channels but not the international chains ( about 20) which are located in the spectrum beneath 36k. A Western European scan brings in all of them in a higher frequency spectrum, some of which open up, some not.

The latest Sifteam has many cable scan options. Has anyone else had this experience?

Thanks

TerD
