Chellomedia launches Sport1 live on iPad

The Dutch premium sports channel Sport1 has launched an iPad app which also allows live streaming to the tablet.
The app itself is free to download and offers viewers sports info and an EPG to the multiplex of Sport 1 channels.
In order to watch live TV, viewers need to buy an individual game from the football competitions to which the channels has the rights (UEFA Champions League, Premier League and Primera Division) for €3.99 or buy a monthly subscription for €12.99.
The new app comes in addition to the other multiscreen services offered by Sport1, such as the streaming web TV service called Sport1 Internet TV and the mobile application, which offers both pay-per-game and subscription packages.
