Chello looks to HD

Chello Central Europe will add two more HD channels to its current portfolio of three in Hungary in the first quarter of next year, according to Levente Malnáy, the company’s CEO.
Speaking at the Digital Home World Summit 2013, he added that Chello Central Europe has “an investment in the future.
We don’t want to miss the train, we have to do what we have to do.” Malnáy pointed out that in Hungary while over 30% of all TV sets are TV ready, less that 2% of people subscribe to HD packages.
Unofficially, it is believed that one of the HD channels Chello Central Europe will launch next year in Hungary will be dedicated to sport.
