I have decided to do the above and had the Technomate 1m mesh dish, is it any good for those who can help? Ideally I wanna improve my signal reception. I back in Buckinghamshire, UK. I am motorized at the moment. And also is a digi pro meter good enough?

Hi, a solid dish will outperform a mesh and a good lnb will make a huge difference but if the setup is wrong from the outset then its a waste. Pole 100% straight, align dish motor with 1 west in your case. Use dishpointer com to get elevation etc.

And have a good receiver, you dont need a meter. You will get everything where you are from 45e to 30w.

say what kit you have

Do not forget the right coax like Belden or Vivanco

Hey guys got a triax 88 in the end and used 0.8w as reference and managed to get BBC world news at about 85% quality with my TM6800HD. It's tracking from 53E-37W. some are a hit and miss.

what lnb are you using? And 88cm is a bit on small side but you done well. The idea is to peak on a strong ie BBC news and then go for a weaker one to get spot on. The lnb can be tweaked as well to get accurate focal distance.

I ask about lnb because I changed recently and got a very pleasing result. And lnb was not expensive.

Hi Ebm.
I am using a Inverto ultra lnb. I didn't check the weak transponders on Thor. I will try tweaking the lnb moving it forward and backward. I have the digisat pro meter to aid me. The Triax 110 would be too big. I wouldn't be able to rotate it to some satellites as it will hit the wall. If I do move house one day I might invest in 110cm.
