guys,

i was trying to find somewhere a complete tutorial to set my tuner Vu+ solo.

I have done just copied the three files through usb, reset... etc. Now i suppose have to install an cracked image? is that the one from the Ferret's link? how to install it? which softw do I need?

What is your dish setup we need to know to help you setup your tuner.

Have you used those 3 files to update your image ?

Crack image is your Solo a clone ?

can someone help me which steps I have to follow to set up my tuner VU+ solo? So far, reading here the posts I understood that I have to install mgcmd 1.35a. how can I do it? is there any manual install?

Just asked you whthe post above what your dish setup is need to know that to help you configure the tuner.

There are a few popular emus

CCcam <Mgcamd and oscam but your dont say what your trying to do so have to advice.

Depending on the image you have installed will tell if you need to manually install images or not.

ok. this is my situation:

I have a normal 90 cm dish with two LNB for two satellites. Got a VU+ solo. I dont really know if it is a clone or an original. Bought it online. How can I check it?
I did the procedure of the 3 files through USB which is explained on the first post, nothing else.

What should I do now?

So if your image is booted then yes you need to set it up.

So you should setup the tuner and scan but that option should of come up in the setup screen at first boot after flashing.

Anyway on your remote Menu-setup-service searching-tuner config.

Setup as

Simple
A/B

The on the A dropdown choose one of your sats then on the b drop down choose the other.

Then save, let us know when you have done that.

ok Ferret I just need your help.
so far I have BH in my genuine Solo. Through filezilla I am trying to put inside mgcamd but I cant!! I am connected to my solo but somewhere was reading that i need to mount my USB stick with the mgcamd inside.
now i am stuck cause I cant....trying and trying and nothing!

No mate

FTP the mgcamd ipk or rarball to the tmp folder at the root of your image.

No on your remote press green then yellow choose manual install select your file and press ok.

I just copied the .tar file in the /tmp.

then green, yellow and it says : you have to upload a bh.tgz package in the /tmp dir.......

this is the name of the file : e1-mgcamd_1.35a_100126.tar.gz

is this an addon for smth else?!
