Can't flash 500HD

I have an old 500HD which I wanted to flash with the second stage boot loader, but can't get it to work.

I power up the 500HD while holding the power button. I then access it using a browser, choose the second stage boot loader file then click flash, but nothing happens. I also tried flashing newnigma 2 3.3.2 directly, but that would not work either.

I thought there may be something wrong with the 500HD, so I took out a BRAND NEW one which I had, unwrapped it and tried flashing it, but again the same problem. I am using a MacBook Pro and tried using many browsers as well as Windows 8 and Mac OS X, but still I am unable to flash.

Any help is highly appreciated.

Are you using Internet explorer ? Best for flashing.

You can flash the ssl in bin format with DreamUP and a service cable.

I tried using 4 different browsers on 2 different operating systems, still nothing, doesn't even upload. I am trying to use dreamup, but am getting an error that there is no com port even though I installed usb-uart bridge drivers.

Have you checked the virtual comport number within win7 device manager ?

Failing that it may be pc related try another PC if you can
