Hi, My 8000HD (I brought second hand yonks ago) came with a cable card. Since I have unused cable feed, I thought I'd have a play and see what free channels are on it.
When I scan I get a "Scan Failed" error. I did a bit of digging in the forums and uploaded a cable.xml file AND a cables.xml (I copied and renamed, as it is not clear what the correct filename should be - cable or cables with an 's'), into \etc\tuxbox. (there was no such file in the directory initially)
still fails with same error. I've located a few cables.xml files, but no luck. I'm in Ealing, London.
I've read about a bruteforce cables.xml, but have not located one.
Am I barking up the wrong tree with this? Any advise gratefully received!!!!
Regards
