A burglar has been arrested after falling asleep on the owners' couch during a robbery in Penang, Malaysia.

Police in the northern state of Penang stated that the burglar broke into the house, ransacking the living room and collecting a number of watches and items of jewellery, before falling asleep on their couch.
The Star reported that when the home owners returned to find the robber napping upstairs with 10,000 Ringgit (roughly £2,000) of loot.
The burglar woke up before escaping through a nearby window. The 42-year-old man was eventually arrested nearby.
District police chief Gan Kong Meng confirmed the incident, stating that the family was returning from a holiday.
