Bootloader ver #82 vs ver #84

DM800SE with SIM 210 can use both bootloader #82 and #84, but ferrari today only can use bootlader #82? It's also wellknown that wrong bootloader together with a not patched image can give R01 CA NOT FOUND.:mecry:

Here my questions about bootloader vs image for bootloader (#82 or #88):

1. Bootloader #82 + patched image for bootloader #82 = ok
2. Bootloader #84 + patched image for bootloader #84 = ok
3. Bootloader #82 + patched image for bootloader #84 = ok?
4. Bootloader #84 + patched image for bootloader #82 = ok?

5. Are there any disadvantages to use not the very best combination of bootloader and patched image.

6. What's the best combination today regarding bootloader + image, for a DM800SE with SIM 210?

Unfortunally I have had some problems with some patched images, and by this my questions ...

Yes mate on a sim2.1 800se you can use any patched image 82 and 84.

With ssl84 you can run original drivers infact the patched image come with original drivers included so you benifit from a quicker 800se with the tuner a pic quaulity been much improved over the patched drivers used with ssl82, thats my opinion.

Use the ssl84a patched images even original images have issue so tell us what wrong and maybe there is a fix.

I first tried with Nemisis2.4 SVN, but with this image the tuner near to only find channels on one of four satellites. Perhaps occasionally, I don’t know?

Then I tried with iCVS-DM800se-2011-07-09 also by rami MAHER, but with this image I couldn’t get my cams. I installed tunisiasat-addons-manager 1.1 mispel in /temp with my FTP-program. But couldn’t find the program when I open Plugins. Moreover – at reboot, my box couldn’t find the IP-address, so now I have to flash again. No problem, but you know, now I hope to install an image that really works for me. Of cause, some of my problems surely depends on myself, but nevertheless ...

So now I seem to have two or more alternative:
1. Once again with Nemesis or iCVS – or test another patched image #ssl84 or #ssl84a
2. Test a new one? Read a pull on the forum thar Newnigma2 seem to be the most popular image for this box.
3. ?

What do you think will be the best for me to do?

That best is use newly patched images with ssl 84a
if you like newnigam2 then why not try its great image
or try few other images see witch one is the one for your test

that is for Ferrari use to have Ferrari addon in side ts panel

I tried to install Newnigma2, but it krasched (stopped) after I done my tuner confiugation for four satellites. The same with another flashed image now and en ealier test with Nemesis.

So now I hade to install iCVS once again. Last time this image not gave me any tuner-problem, and the same this time ... I don't no why my tuner work so good with this image, but problem with all the other I tested.

My problem with iCVS was that I couldn't install tunisiasat, so a rebooting gave me Error No CA found Then I hade an old version of tunisiasat, but now you say that tunisiasat only is for Ferrari.

Now I think that I still will get problems to put in cams im my iCVS? So - how to manage this in iCVS? That's surely still my problem. :-(

ok tell me if you have ts panel or tunisia sat manager

if you have one of those plugin then cam will be ok

in addon you will find panels you can download one of the panel pink ,VTI,or any other panel than cccam will work ok

benkurd, I have downloaded the newest TSpanel and have it on my pc.

As you see I got problem when I patched yesterday, so I had to take iCVS again. I have the tspanel downloaded on my pc. My problem is that I had done a great misstake when I should install an old tunisiasat manager yesterday. The program asked me to reboot, and then the image not find any ip-adress. This why I had to put in a new patched image yesterday.

As I don’t know what happenin the plug-in menu, I’m a little bit afraid to go into plugins, without know exactly what I do , as the same can happen once again. I have not updated software, as just “software” for me seens to be the image.

What I now need most of all, would "a guide" how to install TSpanel or a similar program in iCVS, or howto install the cams in any other way, so I can install i.e. cccam or oscam. To put in the old tunisiasat in /temp with my fpt-program vas simple – but then it was not so easy to find this program under addons.

In some other patched images, I saw that LTpanel is included – but, you know, these images gave me problem, as they found very few channels or worse - found no tuner or I crashed by myself, as I described above … :-(

do this
open DCC > tolls> upload ipkg > now send ts panel4.1
now click on telnet and past this command
opkg install -force-overwrite /tmp/enigma2-plugin-extensions-tspanel_4.1_mipsel.ipk
reboot then you will see ts panel in the menu
when you have ts panel then let us know

Now I seems to got TSpanel in /tmp.

Since my last visit in Plugins menu result in a crash, I’m now a little bit scared and now by this will be quite sure how to do, to find and open the tspanel. Here is the options I have in the Plugins menu:

1. Gemini Wizard
2. Genuine Dreambox
3. Web Interface
4. Picture Player
5. Media Scanner

That’s to say, how to go on, to find and open the tspanel?

Hi benkurd,

Here as I have done and as you can see, I now enclose a picture showing two parts of the installation:

1. Checked up network connection
2. Tools -> IPKG Package > Reading the file from folder in pc
3. Uppload the mispel.itk –file.
The Protocol showed: DCC installed package, copy source file, transfer finish, clear

4. Changed to Telnet
5. Paste this: opkg install -force-overwrite /tmp/enigma2-plugin-extensions-tspanel_4.1_mipsel.ipk

6. Reboot

Then I had hope to see TSpanel when I clicked om Plugins. But not.
Then I tried to do the same procedure once again, but no …

menu , setup, software management press ok
now perss manager extensions
it will give you to new pages on second page you will see system press ok now look for filebroswer download
reboot enigma2
now open dcc send TSpanel to tmp folder
go to menu setup or system i am not sure as i am not in front of tv you should see file browser now go to tmp and download the tspanel
then reboot
done

Now I had done as you say, but I don't get anymore options when I click on Setup.

The options there are still: Gemini3 Wizard, Modem, Genuine Dreambox, Webinterface, Picture Player and Media Scanner.

At the steps after reboot enigma2, I opened dcc.
Then you said: Send TSpanel to tpm folder.

When I opened DCC I saw no TSpanel files, so I took it from the beginning: Tool > upload ipkg > upploaded the file, pasted as before.

But now as earier - I don't send anything. As I couldn't see anything about sending, I thougt it will be sent automatically? Maybe I have done something wrong here? When I not sending, how could then the program know that TSpanel shall be loaded to just the /tmp folder? This was the first time I used DCC,and then it could be misstake. :-(

you have Gemini 3 then click on download +plugin
reboot it will be on your blue panel

then you can have cams and many other plugin
