Black hole EPG

Thought I would try the new Nabilo Blackhole V0.6 as it reports to have a Sly UK EPG.

I loaded it onto my DM800 and tuned to Hip Hop channel. It downloads the data stream ok but the EPG will only display programmes I have already tuned to and will not display anything at a later time.

Is there something else I need to tweek to make it display several days worth of schedules for all channels.

You need to set it up mate.

Press blue button x2 then select Nabilo EPG2

make sure you have selected Enable Sky EPG and Automatic EPG refresh.And set it to HipHop

Then select a time for the update and path for the data to be saved USB is best.

Then press the yellow button and select the channels you want a epg for.

Not all will give you a full EPG due to bugs.

I had already set this up although it was save to cf as standard. Is this the wrong file to save to? I assume that a USB memory stick is required for USB?

No mate you can set it up to save to what ever media you like.

I find that Sky1 and one of 2 other never have more than a couple of hours EPG despite selecting them. And Eurosport for instances will have a good 7 days.

Are you not getting any EPG on the likes of Eurosport?

Blackhole v7 had some improvements to the EPG. It maybe worth re flashing with it.

It is quite strange. It does not have any EPG info until I tune to that channel. Then it will display several days EPG info for that channel only. I have to tune to every channel in turn to get the total EPG list.

Then the next day it is gone again. I dont unplug the box at night so I dont know why it would loose its memory.

Problem sorted. I loaded the v0.7 and it seems to work now.

I tried to update the Uk channel list in Nabilo sky openepg setup but when it did the search for new channels it seems to have deleted most of the ones that were on it before.
