BKUP ON USB PROBLEM

hi all

i am using blackhole 1.6.2 final.
i try to make usb backup.
i go thru the normal procedure and the system makes a backup on usb.
then i reinstal the image on my box
the process go fine.
then i take out my usb and reboot the box.
it goes thru the first bit i.e booting.
then sticks on starting bit. And does not go any further.


any help i thank u in advance

Ok you took the flashing USB out thats good, do you have any other usb sticks in the vu? If some remove them now reboot and replace the USB stick and then map it.

i have no other stick in the box.

i have tryed the process couple of times with same result.
and yes i have tried booting few times.

Well i guess the backup your created is corrupt in some way. Guess youll need to start from scratch.

like i said i have done it couple of times with same result.

these are the steps i have used:-
1. format usb fat32
2. put vubackupstick file on usb stick.
3. mount the usb stick.
4. download usb script.
5. start backup process.

if any thing missing please advise.

I had this problem with pli on vu duo and it turned out to be the plugin was at fault, a new plugin was uploaded to server and is fine now.Also try both bottom and top usb slots at the back of the receiver
