CSV is on flash (is latest release version)
but BA is upgraded from 5.0.20 -> 5.0.30
BA is pointing to HDD
all other images on HDD
only the DMM 2.7 is effected - i haven't tried other DMM
in the DMM image, all the text disappears from the buttons and the buttons cease to function. most notably on the plugins, but also on other things
p.s. i think it is mentioned on the DMM forums from sometime ago, so seems not the first time. but its in German and mine is not good enough. from what i could tell, there wasn't a solution on it though.

So the DMM CVS is on the flash and you have no plugin menu. Not 100% sure but i think that is normal, i will check tonight as im at work with no access to my 800.
The DMM cvs image is not really a working image so im not sure why this concerns you if you multiboot images are still ok then the cvs image is doing its job in the flash and giving your multiboot images the latest driver/files.

Ah, sorry. let me say more clearly.
- I have Oozoon CVS http://www.oozoon.de/progs/images/dm800/OoZooN-CVS-full-dm800-20091204.nfi on the flash.
- from the BA plugin, in Oozoon CVS, i used the extract image option to install newnigma2, nabilosat, gemini and the DMM 2.7.
All images work fine, except the DMM 2.7.
(before installing Oozoon CVS, i installed DMM 2.7 in flash and it worked fine but i couldn't install BA because the kernel didn't support usb), thus the config i used.
the only thing i noticed is when installing DMM2.7, it stated a number of file already exists errors - which didn't occure with the other images.
p.s. i am using a genuine box.

very very simle you can read the someting change on log DM800 v2.7:
"[Misc] implemented new software manager to install and remove plugins and do system backups"
you can solve it by go to menu/setup/software management/manage extentions then remove "softwaremanager plugin" it OK now.

do you install nabilosat v.12 on new oozoon date 10/01/2010 how long does it take when you install the first time, i want to know because I can not install nabilosat .12 base meoboot

ah now you see, i just checked the build to make sure which things didn't have working buttons are guess what;
a) the plugin manager - can't add/remove
b) the extension manager - can't see any, can't add/remove
now this only seems relevant to images that have been done by BA because, i didn't have this problem when i put the image in flash.
it's great. BA - the best thing since sliced bread
i am new to the box and linux and BA is giving me so much room to play and still retain a working system. to be honest, i think NabBH starts no different than in flash (once the initial BA screen is up). do i recommend it. yep, sure do.
i couldn't comment on the thing technically. but for a none linux person new to the dreambox.
functionally it works and its user friendly. at this stage, that's all i can ask for. perhaps, given more time i will be able to provide a more educated opinion.
yep, that is exactly the problem. but as i say. i have a real machine, with the certification verified against the dream website.
The problem for me happens (i think) as a result of whatever changes BA makes to the image as it unpacks it.

Maybe whats needed then is a BA update.
But if the Oozoon image in your flash is older than the DMM 2.7 on multiboot then this will happen as the 2.7 is booted after the drivers have loaded from the image in flash. So drivers or other files needed by the 2.7 image are not available and this will cause errors.

If i understand this right you wish to Install the a DM Release Image to Multiboot?
If this is right m8 than it can´t Work cause Official Release Images
are pure CVS Images and Work only in the Flash "normal".
If you Load it to Flash you can use Meoboot as Multiboot Tool instead of BA

Look Enigma Change from 2.6... to 2.7.... so that´s the Reason why Oozoon
Released a New Image Yesterday and thats may also the reason why the Online
Update need a bit longer till it´s availeble.

i try many image so now. the plugin lost as you mention began file experimental-dm800_20091229.nfi date 29/12/2008 at page http://sources.dreamboxupdate.com/opendreambox/1.5/dm800/images/

Meoboot is the plugin!
so, i discovered an issue (not sure if user or BA at this stage). made some changes to my nabilo12 image (hdd) and tried to backup the changes to an nfi image. when i restored the back, didn't seem to be right.
if i remove barry allen and try meoboot, what about my existing hdd BA images? not the nfis. Am i stuck now, or can or use them with meo?
presume, i can simply uninstall the BA plugin in Oozoon CVS flash, then install the Meo plugin?
