Andalucía TV ends satellite distribution

Andalucía TV has terminated is satellite broadcasts over Hispasat 1E (30 degrees West) and Astra 1L (19.2 degrees East).
Programming on the channel consisted of a mix of the regional broadcasters two main channels, Canal Sur TV and Canal Sur 2.
Radio Televisión de Andalucía, or RTVA, the public broadcaster of Andalucia, said that its programmes continue to be available via cable and IPTV over the Ono, Telecable and Movistar networks, as well as an on demand service on the internet.
However, the move to end its satellite transmissions has caused uproar among dish owners, who are protesting the demise of the satellite signal.
